Robert L Goodwin, Managing Vice President, Gartner
Robert L Goodwin has 38 years of experience in IT industry and worked in Marketing, Sales and Research roles for major accounts. He is a Psychology graduate from the Occidental College.
Prior to joining Gartner in 2001, Mr. Goodwin spent 10 years as a senior research and marketing executive with three other IT-oriented research firms, INPUT Inc., Killen & Associates, and Zona Research. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of Hotel Information Systems, President and COO of Command Data Systems, and Director of Marketing at Xerox Computer Services. He began his business career in sales and sales management positions at IBM.
Mr. Goodwin holds a BA in Psychology from Occidental College, and saw active duty as a line officer in the US Navy. He is an active volunteer and docent aboard the USS Hornet Museum, and an advisor to Senior Medi-Benefits, a non- profit organization.
