Satyam’s IES team understands that innovation today involves many more players than in the past. It includes a company’s customers (and their customers,) employees, partners, and suppliers, as well as its own research and development and product labs. And all of these entities are spread across the globe.

This creates challenges and opportunities: the growing number of specialized sources of innovation means more relationships to manage and more information to acquire, organize, and absorb. However, those same relationships can provide entrée to new markets, and richer data can lead to more competitive offerings.

To help clients exploit new approaches to innovation, Satyam IES is developing practices for the next generation of engineering and manufacturing. In addition to Design for Reliability (DFR) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), it is developing Design for Global Life Cycle Support, an approach that addresses design, manufacturing, sourcing, and service issues, globally and concurrently.
