Satyam Transforms Fab Automation Standards Testing for the Semiconductor Industry
- ConFy—Conformance For You -an advanced software tester solution developed to meet the needs identified by ISMI
HYDERABAD, India, July 14, 2008: Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (NYSE: SAY), a leading global consulting and IT services provider, announced today that it has collaborated with International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI), a global alliance of the world’s major semiconductor manufacturers dedicated to improving productivity and cost performance of equipment and manufacturing operations, to develop ConFy - a next-generation Advanced Software Tester solution that will validate the automation capabilities of advanced semiconductor factory equipment.
The new test solution, designed to ISMI requirements, will emulate semiconductor manufacturing environments, and enable equipment makers to check the conformance of their tools to current and emerging SEMI standards in equipment connectivity and fab manufacturing automation.
ConFy provides highly automated testing of SECS/GEM 300 SEMI standards implementation with minimal user interference and manual interpretation of results. ConFY also features a custom test plan scripter for testing actual production environment, secure test entities and supports multiple load ports, concurrent testing and creation of custom reports.
Satyam's existing customer base of semicon equipment manufacturers and chip manufacturers, and the industry as a whole, will benefit from this industry-leading solution. Advanced testing of standards ensures quicker integration of equipment in chip manufacturing facilities.
The collaboration, in support of these critical industry requirements, provides a solid technical foundation for standards conformance testing. The beta version of the solution will be showcased during the International trade show SEMICON WEST 2008 international trade show being held at the Moscone Center, in San Francisco.
