Satyam’s Semiconductor practice works actively with three Global forums
International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative
ISMI is a consortium of 16 chip manufacturing companies like Intel, IBM, TI, AMD, Samsung, TSMC and Infineon which together account for more than 70% of global chip production.
Satyam’s Semiconductor vertical has joined forces with International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI) to complete a next generation Advanced Software Tester product that will validate the automation capabilities of advanced factory equipment.
Automation software testing products available today are limited to the static testing of SECS/GEM 300 SEMI standards implementations.
The Advanced Software Tester ( AST) is being designed to automatically test current SEMI standards including GEM 300 representing high volume production use, as well as EDA Standards. This product will also support testing scenarios as defined by ISMI, and will enable users to create their own test cases for validation of their specific production environment.
The collaboration of Satyam, and ISMI in support of these critical industry requirements provides a solid technical foundation for standards conformance testing. ISMI will provide Satyam with the product requirements, review critical stages of the project and help in validating the final solution. The alpha version of the product is likely to be ready by Feb 2007.
Indian Semiconductor Association
ISA is a trade association with a vision to establish India as the preferred global hub for excellence in creation of semiconductor products through technology leadership. ISA has membership of over 50 companies including TI, Qualcom, Broadcom, National Semiconductor, nVidia, Cadence, Magma Synopsis and Applied Materials.
Subash Chandra, who heads Satyam’s semiconductor practice, has received recognition from ISA for his contribution to the India Fabcity Report. Some recommendations made in the report have been accepted by the Finance Ministry, Government of India.
Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute (SEMI)
SEMI is a global industry association serving companies that provide equipment, materials and services used to manufacture semiconductors, displays, nano-scaled structures, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and related technologies. SEMI maintains offices in Austin, Beijing, Brussels, Hsinchu, Moscow, San Jose ( Calif.), Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo and Washington, D.C.
