Introduction

The Satyam EMS Framework is a software solution managing different types of Network Elements in the telecommunication management network. Its distributed client-server architecture follows prevalent industry standards and is designed to support varied Network Elements from Telecom, Datacom and Wireless world. The Satyam EMS can apply element management functions in different management functional areas such as Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, and Security Management (FCAPS).

Major functionalities of EMS framework are:

• To provide one stop solution framework for EMS/OSS customers
• To create an EMS solution framework for Satyam to reduce development time for delivering customized solution for different types of NEs.
• To demo the new Satyam’s EMS/OSS solution framework (via technology conferences, trade shows etc.) in order to create awareness of Satyam’s expertise in EMS/OSS solution.
• To build the skill set within the organization in order to facilitate resources for future anticipated EMS/OSS projects.

Solution Highlights

• Supports different types of web clients based on JSP, Swing (launched through Java Web Start)
• JBOSS server is used for hosting FCAPS model which will process requests from user and device in session beans.
• Service manager for remotely distributing system services like adapter server, protocol stack server etc.
• PostGre DB is used for storing all persistent data.
