Satyam’s Energy and Utilities Practice partners with companies to offer solutions that power their success. The Practice serves Energy and Utility customers, including five of the top 10 integration majors, spread across 10 countries.

The Practice is a 700+ people-strong with over 7000-person-hours of experience in Oil & Gas and Utilities domain. We have industry-specific alliances with technology companies such as SAP, Oracle, TPT, Solarc, SPL, GE T&D, ESRI, and PPDM. We have invested in partnerships with research and educational institutes and real time product vendors, in our constant pursuit to provide best-in-class services to our customers.

The Energy and Utility industry churns out trillions of dollars in annual revenues, and even a modest 1.6% share in the form of IT budget translates to hundreds of billion dollars. At this juncture of industry life-cycle, the politico-economic landscape and factors such as margin pressures in downstream O&G, seasonal variations in Utilities price & demand, and increased spending in O&G exploration, are providing an opportunity for IT to empower the industry. Typically the consolidations of ERP systems, the ‘best-of-the-breed’ trading systems and the ‘Attractiveness of Outsourcing’ for the integrated majors provide the avenues for quick wins. Further, a synergistic convergence of operational capabilities, relationships and industry-centric thought leadership are viewed as the key to success in this Industry.
